    This is the longest continually operating inn in the United States. There are many charms to it, but don't expect it to have everything a modern hotel has in amenities. Lots of wonderful antiques. Interesting public rooms. Superb breakfast. Pleasant staff. If you have dinner in their restaurant, don't miss the peanut soup. We remembered it from when we went there 50 years ago and it was as good as we remembered.
